Language Course Teaching Methods For Senior Citizens
Objectives
Mission of our project is to develop a Grundtvig 3 qualification course entitled "Important teaching methods in language courses for senior learners" for language teachers, trainers containing specific teaching methods for senior citizens.
Commonly with partner institutions from Austria, Czech Republic, France, Germany, Italy and Sweden we collect and compile already existing research materials, experience from experts in language teaching for senior citizens, develop a curriculum and methodological toolbox.
Our project content and results will be spread through a variety of dissemination of activities, including European Mulitplier Seminar to all EU member states.
Target groups
The project activities are directed to:
language course providers, teachers, trainers who work with senior citizens (50 +) in context of language teaching.
Teachers, trainers will receive a curriculum and toolbox with learning materials that increases the participation of senior citizens in language courses and helps to avoid their drop out.
Additionally, national and European senior citizen organisations, networks will receive the project materials for integrating it into their websites in order to make it available.
